Gers 3-2 Devils Recap, game and video highlights
Kevin Hayes scored a shootout winner as the New York Rangers salvaged a 3-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils in the Bronx.
Hayes, Nick Holden and Chris Kreider put the visitors 2-0 up after Andy Greene and Kyle Palmieri traded goals.
Palmieri pulled back a goal from behind the goal line to level it, scoring seconds before the final buzzer.
The Rangers led 3-1 but Adam Henrique forced overtime with five minutes left.
Alexandre Burrows scored what looked like the winning goal for the Devils at 18:59, but Hayes scored the shootout winner on his fourth shot to seal the win.
Kreider started and finished the scoring for the Rangers in regulation as they improved to 2-0-0 with the point.
However, the Rangers are without Ryan McDonagh and Dan Girardi for the next six to eight weeks due to knee and toe injuries, respectively.
The Devils have now suffered four consecutive defeats after four consecutive wins.
