Richmond police warn of spiked beverages in Henrico

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond and Henrico counties area police are warning residents about an incident that could have happened to multiple children Thursday night. Police said that between four and six males were seen serving drinks spiked with something to at least one person.

Police said that the subjects would place beverage in the hand of the adult or child and would keep a lookout as he drank the liquid.

Parents and guardians are asked to check their homes to make sure that none of their children or grandchildren have served drinks mixed with anything suspicious.

Police are looking for video surveillance from people or businesses who may have witnessed this situation.

At least one child was left in a vehicle Thursday evening while the adults took drinks from his friends in the 1000 block of Rushmore Street, according to police.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify these individuals.

Those with information about the incident are asked to call 646-3945 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
