Connecting the dots between Meghan Markle’s personal experience in Britain’s tabloids and her recent popularity in the United States.

FOX’s Jon Scott previewed the new Meghan Markle documentary airing this weekend:

This is “FOX on Royal Family”.

There’s been a lot of focus on Meghan Markle as she prepares to wed Prince Harry and today, we’re learning about the true toll it’s taken on her.

In 2015 she lived in front of some 600 million British viewers watching the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and now she’s struggling with stories in the British tabloids, calling her a gold digger, a cheater and blacking out a black eye on the cover of a tabloid. But now the gossip is all changing.

Markle’s story of embracing a life away from Britain’s spotlight and fascination with celebrities is now resonating with those who can relate to the struggle to escape the spotlight here, like Meghan’s newlywed friend Natasha Schuller:

(Schuller) “To know that there is no escaping it is to know that you have to always remember that you are alive and that you need to step into yourself.”
